Russians intensify attacks on civilian targets in Kharkiv region after loss of plant in Vovchansk
In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group “Kharkiv”, there is a significant increase in the activity of Russian tactical aviation, in particular, an increase in the number of guided aerial bombs (UAB). This was stated by the spokesman of OTU “Kharkiv” Vitaly Sarantsev during the telecast.
Sarantsev noted that the number of enemy airstrikes has increased in recent weeks. Russian troops are increasingly using tactical aviation, increasing the number of strikes and the use of air defense systems. This, in his opinion, is a response to the “serious defeat” that the Russian army suffered after the loss of the aggregate plant in Vovchansk. According to him, the Russians are trying to divert attention by carrying out attacks on civilian objects and infrastructure, while passing off these strikes as “tactical victories” in the alleged destruction of logistics centers or headquarters with mercenaries.
At the same time, the situation in the area of responsibility of Kharkiv OTU remains tense, but under control. The main hostilities are taking place in the area of Vovchansk and nearby settlements, such as Staritsa and Tyhe.
“Yesterday, six combat clashes took place. One combat clash has been ongoing since this morning. The enemy is trying to advance from the area of the settlement of Gatishche to Vovchansk, is trying to advance towards the positions of the Defense Forces, however, all his actions were detected in advance and he was hit by fire with the help of artillery and FPV-drone. As of today, no losses of positions have been allowed by the Defense Forces.”, – noted Sarantsev.
