Salute in the Dnipro: unknown persons violated the ban on the use of pyrotechnics during the war

Around midnight on June 10, fireworks were set off on Kalinova Street in Dnipro. The incident caused panic among the townspeople, because Telegram channels at that time reported on the work of the Air Defense Forces on a reconnaissance drone. The loud explosions that sounded were like long bursts of machine guns, so the fire show gave a good scare to the whole street.
Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation to identify the persons involved in the violation.
We remind you that on November 6, 2023, the law entered into force, according to which it is prohibited to launch and sell pyrotechnics throughout the territory of Ukraine during martial law. The ban was introduced to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent panic, as loud noises could be mistaken for signs of danger or military action. Therefore, those who violated the ban may be fined from 17,000 to 34,000 UAH, or may be imprisoned for up to 5 years. In addition, changes in the legislation on pyrotechnics are related to the implementation of the association agreement with the European Union on environmental protection.
The case in Dnipro is far from the only violation of the ban on the use of pyrotechnics. We found more than two hundred court decisions on the use of fireworks in wartime in the USSR through Opendatabot.
