Shmyhal said that the resource of local budgets in 2025 will increase by 15%

The resource of local budgets in 2025 will increase by 15% compared to last year and will amount to 328 billion hryvnias. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

“This year, the resources of local budgets will increase by 15% compared to 2024. We are talking about the total amount of 328 billion hryvnias. The main increase will be provided by income from personal income tax, as well as subsidies and subventions from the government.”, Shmygalya said at the government meeting.

He noted that almost 12 billion hryvnias of the additional educational subvention will be directed to the payment of “Teacher’s supplement”, 36.5 billion hryvnias of the additional subsidy will be used to support the de-occupied territories, and more than 12 billion hryvnias will be used for various regional development programs.

According to the prime minister, in January of this year the government already transferred 12.5 billion hryvnias to local budgets, paying special attention to communities in de-occupied and front-line areas.

“Today we are approving the procedure and conditions for providing a subvention for the Kharkiv budget for emergency and restoration works in the housing and communal sphere. The city will be allocated 1 billion hryvnias.”Shmyhal said.

He also added that last year, the government allocated 2.4 billion hryvnias for the Kharkiv region for the heating season, and about another 2 billion hryvnias were directed directly to Kharkiv. In addition, the prime minister announced that, on the instructions of the president, this year the government allocates 8 billion hryvnias for the construction of water mains in the Mykolaiv region.

“The project involves the construction of three sections of water intake from the South Bug River. We are making the necessary decisions to speed up the execution of all works and minimize the risks of their late completion.” – he explained.
