In 2024, the car fleet of Ukraine was replenished with 73 thousand cars with diesel engines, which is 14% less than a year earlier. Among them are 17,800 new cars (+28%) and 55,200 used cars imported from abroad (-22%). About this informs “Ukravtoprom”.

In the market of new passenger cars, diesel models occupied 25.6% of sales, which exceeds the figure of 2023 (22.8%). At the same time, the share of diesel cars among imported used cars decreased to 24.8% compared to 30% in the previous year.

The five most popular new diesel models include:

• RENAULT Duster – 5246 units;
• VOLKSWAGEN Touareg – 1217 units;
• TOYOTA Hilux – 1072 units;
• PEUGEOT Landtrek – 826 units;
• SKODA Kodiaq – 774 units.

The leaders among imported used diesel cars were:

• RENAULT Megane – 5021 units;
• SKODA Octavia – 3924 units;
• VOLKSWAGEN Passat – 3731 units;
• NISSAN Qashqai – 2943 units;
• VOLKSWAGEN Golf – 2050 units.

We will remind that in 2024, 23,900 hybrid cars (HEV and PHEV) were added to the car fleet of Ukraine, which is 39% more than in 2023.
