Some families in Ukraine can receive almost 16,000 hryvnias for a child’s recovery

Some families in Ukraine can receive 15,980 hryvnias for the rehabilitation of a child. About this reported on the government portal. The program is aimed at supporting children aged 6 to 18 years.
The following categories can receive help:
- Children with disabilities who are brought up in low-income families;
- Children from poor families with many children.
How to use the program?
Parents whose children have the right to health care at the expense of the state will receive a corresponding message in “Dia”, the “PrivatBank” application or from social security workers. If there is no information about the child, you can apply to the nearest branch of the Pension Fund to register children for the status of “Child from a large family”.
After that, you need to open a card with a special mode of use for the wellness program at the “PrivatBank” branch. After depositing the funds, you need to choose an institution for the child’s recovery, and then book a ticket.
The “eOzdorolenny” program was launched in Ukraine in 2023, it provides for direct state payments to families for the rehabilitation of children. Thanks to this program, parents will be able to independently choose an institution and purchase a pass for recreation or health of their children.
The “eOzdorolenny” program works on the principle of “money follows the child”. Parents receive funds on the card and pay for a ticket to one of the designated institutions themselves. The pilot year showed its effectiveness: almost 2,000 children from low-income families were able to rest without burdening the family budget. The program is planned to be scaled up in 2024.
