An exciting story of resilience: 8-year-old Romchyk from Vinnytsia will be the hero of a London film
Filming of the short film “Romchik. Don’t burn dreams” has started in London, which tells the incredible story of eight-year-old Roman Oleksiv. The boy miraculously survived the rocket attack on Vinnytsia in July 2022, suffering burns to 80% of his body and losing his mother. The idea and production of the film was undertaken by Kostyantyn Bidnenko.

The story of Roman:
On July 14, 2022, an occupying rocket hit the apartment building in Vinnytsia, where Roman and his mother were staying. The boy received burns on 80% of his body and lost his mother. Roman did not give up. He underwent 31 operations, and now continues rehabilitation. Roman started dancing again – ballroom dancing, which was his passion even before the tragedy.
