The Antimonopoly Committee has launched an investigation against Radabank

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has officially opened proceedings in the case of the Radabank joint-stock company. The bank is accused of two violations related to improper provision of information to the regulator, informs press service of the department,

The first violation is that Radabank did not fully provide the requested information at the request of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee dated May 13, 2024. The second case is a similar violation in response to an appeal dated June 13 of the same year. Both episodes are classified under Clause 14 of Article 50 of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition”.

The deputy chairman of the AMCU, Denys Klyushnikov, was appointed as the state commissioner in this case. The review period can last up to three years. At this moment, the specific circumstances of the case and the reasons for improper information remain unknown.

On December 3, 1993, the National Bank of Ukraine registered a bank under the name “Interindustry Commercial Land Bank Agros”, which was located in the city of Khmelnytskyi. On February 4, 1997, in connection with the name change, the bank was re-registered as a closed joint-stock company “Joint-Stock Bank “Radabank”, after which it began to work on the financial market of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On November 30, 2018, another name change took place — the bank was named Radabank Joint Stock Company (Radabank JSC). Among the bank’s shareholders are Volodymyr Horodnytskyi, Tetyana Horodnytskyi, Ihor Horodnytskyi and Vadym Sysenko.

In July 2020, Tetyana Horodnytska increased her share in the bank’s authorized capital from 30.205% to 62.205%, receiving a package of shares from her brother Volodymyr Horodnytsky. As a result, the share of Volodymyr Horodnytskyi decreased from 54.565% to 22.565%.

According to information from the National Bank of Ukraine, as of May 1, 2020, Radabank ranked 39th in terms of total assets (2.237 billion UAH) among 75 banks operating in Ukraine.

We will remind that in January, the National Bank of Ukraine imposed a fine of 2 million hryvnias on Radabank for violating the law on financial monitoring. At that time, it was about improper risk assessment and non-compliance with anti-money laundering requirements.
