The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the missile brigade of the Russian Federation, which hit Sumy on Palm Sunday

The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the point of permanent deployment of the 448th Missile Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Kursk Region. It was this brigade that launched a rocket attack on the city of Sumy on Palm Sunday, informs General Staff of the Armed Forces.

“Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, attacked a number of objects in the Kursk region associated with war criminals who are involved in the missile attack on the city of Sumy on April 13, 2025 and other war crimes against the people of Ukraine.” – says the message.

As a result of the operation, the location of the 448th missile brigade of the Russian army was affected. The secondary detonation of ammunition was recorded, the final consequences of the impact are being clarified.

“Each Russian military unit, unit and their servicemen, who carry out shelling of peaceful cities and civilians of Ukraine, will be established and will certainly receive retribution. Targeted and systematic combat work against important military objects of the Russian invaders will continue until the end of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.”, – emphasized the General Staff.

It will be recalled that on April 13, Russian troops launched two missile strikes at the center of Sumy with a difference of two minutes. According to preliminary information, the Iskander-M high-explosive missile was used, the speed of which exceeds 2 km/s. The second strike, carried out during the morning attack, caused the highest number of casualties. As a result of the attack, 35 people died, 117 others were injured, including 15 children.
