During the day, 117 combat clashes took place at the front between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. In particular, in the Pokrovsky direction, Ukrainian defenders held back 35 enemy assault attacks. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on May 15.
“In total, since the beginning of this day, there have been 117 combat clashes. Today, the Russian invaders carried out 42 airstrikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas, dropping 65 guided air bombs. In addition, they brought in 1,104 kamikaze drones and fired almost four thousand shots.” – the message says.
During the day, in the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy tried to break through near the settlements of Malynivka, Nova Poltavka, Myrolyubivka, Elizavetivka, Lysivka, Novosergiivka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Andriivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Kotlyarivka, Troitske, as well as in the directions of Zora, Novosergiivka, Popovoy Yar, and Stara Mykolaivka. In total, Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 attacks, 12 more battles are ongoing.
In the Kharkiv direction, six offensive actions of the Russians were recorded in the Vovchansk, Hlyboki districts, as well as in the direction of Visoka Yaruga, Dovgenki, and Kudiivka. One combat clash is still ongoing. In the Kupyansk region, the enemy made offensive attempts in the direction of Pishchany and near Zagryzovy and Kruglyakivka. The Ukrainian military stopped four attacks.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy tried 15 times to attack the positions of the defenders near Ridkodub, Kolodyazyu, as well as in the directions of Novoplatonivka, Novosergiivka, Olhivka, Novy Mir, and Zelena Dolyna. Two battles are ongoing. The defense forces in the Siversky direction repelled three assaults by the occupiers near Beilohorivka, Hryhorivka, and Verkhnyokamyanskyi.
In the Kramatorsk direction, seven attacks by Russian troops were recorded in the areas of Chasovoy Yar and Kurdyumivka. One battle is still going on. In the direction of Toretsk, the enemy tried five times to storm Ukrainian positions in the areas of Toretsk, Dilyivka, Klishchiivka and in the direction of Bila Hora. Four attacks were repulsed.
According to preliminary information, 161 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, of which 90 were irreversible. Also destroyed were six cars, 11 motorcycles, 12 drones, two EW trench complexes, a satellite communication terminal, and the Murom-M observation station. One tank, a gun and two enemy vehicles were damaged.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the aggressor made 14 attempts to break through the defenses in the districts of Bagatyr, Konstantinopol, Privilny and Vilny Pol. Four combat clashes are still ongoing. In the direction of Gulyaipil, the occupiers launched airstrikes with unguided missiles on Vysokye and Zaliznychny. No offensive actions were recorded. In the Orihiv direction, Ukrainian units repelled three assaults in the areas of Maly Shcherbaki, Novoandriyivka, and Stepovoy. Airstrikes were carried out on Novoyakovlivka and Maly Shcherbaki.
