In the Sumy region, a couple died as a result of Russian shelling

On December 11, in the village of Bilovody in the Sumy Oblast, law enforcement officers discovered the bodies of two dead people in the fire of a private house destroyed by an enemy airstrike. The victims were a 55-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife.

As informs Office of the Prosecutor General, the tragedy occurred on the territory of a private household in the Khotyn community of the Sumy district.

“On December 11, 2024, law enforcement officers found the bodies of a 55-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife in a fire in the village of Bilovody of the Khota community of the Sumy district on the territory of a private home. According to the investigation, the house of the deceased was completely destroyed as a result of an enemy airstrike.” – says the message.

Law enforcement officers documented the consequences of this crime, which is classified as a war crime. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway, the purpose of which is to establish the circumstances of the tragedy and collect evidence to bring the perpetrators to justice.
