Ukraine is not going to recognize a debt of $500 billion to the United States: Zelenskyy

Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated, that he is not going to sign the agreement according to which Ukraine will owe the United States 500 billion dollars.

Zelenskyy explained that the conditions offered by the US under the subsoil agreement are in the nature of a debt that Ukraine must pay.

“I know we had 100 billion dollars from the United States and I’m not going to accept 500, no matter what anyone says.” – noted Zelensky.

He also emphasized that he does not want to recognize the obligation of 100 billion, because he does not consider the financial assistance of the United States to be a debt. Zelensky emphasized that the terms of the subsoil agreement with the United States provide for Ukraine to return twice the amount of aid provided. He compared the support of Ukraine with the help of Israel, emphasizing the injustice of such an approach.

“I do not sign what ten generations of Ukrainians will pay”, – concluded Zelensky.
