For the first time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will create a female crew to intercept enemy drones. It will be formed on the basis of the 427th separate regiment of unmanned systems “Rarog”. About this reported on the official page of the unit.
In an appeal to potential female candidates, it is noted that service in the army is an opportunity to be useful in a difficult time, and that for this it is necessary to pass the selection and be ready for training. Volunteers are offered to try themselves as a drone interceptor, where women with similar convictions and strength of spirit will serve together.
Duties will include detection and destruction of enemy air targets, maintenance of weapons, execution of combat missions as part of the unit, professional training, participation in training and combat operations, as well as compliance with military discipline. The regiment guarantees material, medical and food security, as well as the opportunity for career growth and professional development. The unit noted that everything will be taught on the spot, and the main thing is to have a desire.
Despite the fact that the mobilization of women into the army is possible only with their consent, the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” provides for mandatory military registration for women with a medical or pharmaceutical education. This applies to persons aged 18 to 60 who are considered fit for health.
