The Cabinet of Ministers approved a plan to implement a moratorium on business inspections

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the implementation plan of the National Security and Defense Council’s decision to introduce a moratorium on groundless checks and interference in business activities. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

Starting July 24, tax and customs authorities will limit inspections of low-risk businesses. Control will remain only in sectors with increased risk, in particular in the circulation of excise goods.

“The state will not interfere with those who work honestly”, – noted Svyridenko.

In addition, the government is initiating changes to the Criminal Procedure Code. According to the new rules, only the Prosecutor General or heads of regional prosecutor’s offices will be able to initiate criminal proceedings against businesses.

Also, within a month, the State Regulatory Service and relevant ministries must submit proposals for deregulation and reduction of excessive permitting procedures. By October 21, law enforcement agencies must coordinate actions to identify assets under sanctions and ensure their return to the budget for the needs of defense and reconstruction of the country. The plan provides for the launch of a digital control system, as well as a quarterly review of the effectiveness of the decisions made.

We will remind you that on July 21, the National Security and Defense Council approved the introduction of a moratorium on business inspections. Svyridenko explained that this approach includes spot control over high-risk enterprises and digitization of the state supervision system.
