The Cabinet of Ministers decided on the indexation of pensions, which will take place on March 1. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“Since March 1, we have been indexing pensions. This is already the third indexation during a full-scale war. For more than 10 million citizens, pensions will increase by 11.5%,” Shmyhal noted.
He clarified that the minimum pension increase will be at least 100 hryvnias, and the maximum amount of indexation will be limited.
“In order to fairly distribute financial resources and increase the smallest pensions, we are introducing the maximum amount of indexation – up to UAH 1,500.” – the prime minister explained.
The calculation of the indexation was carried out on the basis of official indicators of economic development in 2024: the growth of consumer prices – 12%, the increase of average wages for the years 2022-2024 – 11%.
