Funding is provided with the support of the European Union within the framework of the special instrument Ukraine Facility — a large-scale financial aid program aimed at restoring and modernizing Ukraine and supporting reforms that contribute to European integration.

This mechanism was established in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2024/792 of February 29, 2024. In June of the same year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Framework Agreement with the EU, which allows the practical implementation of financing within the framework of this instrument.

By the end of 2027, at least 450 million euros in the hryvnia equivalent will be allocated to provide housing for defenders of Ukraine and families of fallen soldiers.
