The Cabinet of Ministers has additionally allocated UAH 8 billion for the purchase of drones
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting stated, which allocates an additional 8 billion hryvnias for the purchase of drones.
“Today, the government decides to allocate another 8 billion hryvnias for the purchase of drones. These funds will be redirected to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, which will make the necessary purchases.”, says the statement.
The Prime Minister noted that special attention is paid to the production of own weapons and the development of the economy. According to him, in the field of drones, Ukrainian production is almost 100%, and in January 2025, the production of drones increased tenfold compared to January 2024.
“At the same time, we ourselves currently produce about a third of the weapons we need. The task that the Government sets before itself is to bring its own production of weapons to at least half of the current need.” – he added.
