The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the compensation program for the arrangement of workplaces for people with disabilities

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the possibilities of receiving compensation for arranging workplaces for people with disabilities. From now on, self-employed persons and individual entrepreneurs (PPOs) with disabilities can also count on state support. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Economy.

“We are expanding the program that helps businesses set up inclusive workplaces for people with disabilities. From now on, people with disabilities who are self-employed or self-employed, veterans with disabilities who want to start their own business will be able to equip their workplace with state support. They will be able to purchase the special furniture, equipment, assistive devices they need, such as lifts or ramps,” – said Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.

In addition, employers will be able to receive compensation for arranging a workplace for veterans who returned from the war with disabilities. Since the beginning of the year, under this program, the state has already compensated the costs of setting up almost 300 workplaces by paying 16 million hryvnias.

The government has also expanded the list of aids that are subject to compensation. It includes technical tools, software, and translation services in Ukrainian sign language, both offline and online.
