The commander of the Royal Navy was dismissed due to a possible affair with a subordinate.

The commander of Britain’s Royal Navy, Admiral Sir Ben Key, has been suspended after reports emerged of his alleged extramarital affair with a female subordinate. About this informs The Times.
The 59-year-old admiral, who is married with three children, was ordered to be temporarily removed from duty pending an official investigation into a possible affair with a colleague. In this regard, the conference scheduled for next week on the activities of the fleet, which was to be chaired by the admiral, was canceled.
Although Ben Key’s alleged relationship is not a criminal offense, it is against internal service rules that prohibit sexual relations between commanders and subordinates in the military. The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, in response to an inquiry by The Times, said that the investigation is ongoing and “it is not appropriate to comment on it at this time.”
This is currently the first time in the more than 500 years of the Royal Navy’s existence that its commander has been subject to a disciplinary investigation.
It will be recalled that last year Italian army general Roberto Vannacci was removed from service for 11 months due to the scandal surrounding his book, which insulted LGBT people, migrants and feminists.
