Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv continued people’s deputy Nestor Shufrych, who represented the banned party “OPZZH”, a preventive measure in the form of detention without bail until May.
“The investigating judge extended until May 18 the preventive measure of people’s deputy Nestor Shufrych in the form of detention without the alternative of posting bail”. – reported in the press service of the court.
We will remind that in September 2023, according to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, Nestor Shufrych was charged with treason, and at the beginning of February 2024, with another charge of financing the Russian Guard in Crimea.
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention. According to the investigation, Shufrych actively cooperated and carried out the tasks of the former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Volodymyr Sivkovich, an agent of the Russian FSB, whose purpose was to coordinate the Russian agency in Ukraine.
In April 2024, the SBU detained Shufrich’s assistant, who financed the Russian Guard on the temporarily occupied peninsula.
