The official representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ravina Shamdasani, commented on Moskalkova’s statement.

“We are trying to gather information about the situation in the Kursk region, but without access it is very difficult. We ask Russia to provide access to its territory in order to obtain additional information.”, – she noted.

We will remind that on August 11, Tetyana Moskalkova, the commissioner for human rights in Russia, declared about the “barbaric attack” of Ukraine on the Kursk region, as a result of which, according to her, “thousands of civilians were injured.” In this regard, Moskalkova submitted a request to the UN, calling on the international organization to condemn Ukraine for alleged massive violations of human rights.

Meanwhile, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022 to November 2, 2023, more than 107,000 crimes were registered by Russia against Ukraine, including torture, ill-treatment of prisoners, child abduction, and murder.
