The Day of the State Bureau of Investigation has been introduced in Ukraine

On November 12, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the establishment of the State Bureau of Investigation Day in Ukraine. There was a corresponding decree published on the official website of the president.
“Taking into account the importance and role of the State Bureau of Investigation in the performance of tasks related to the prevention, detection, termination, disclosure and investigation of criminal offenses, I decide to establish the Day of the State Bureau of Investigation in Ukraine, to be celebrated annually on November 12“, says the decree.
In his evening address of the same day, Zelenskyi also reminded that this day marks nine years since the adoption of the law on the State Bureau of Investigation.
“I thank everyone in the structure of the DBR, who cares about state interests and provides greater opportunities for justice in Ukraine with their own work“, the president noted.
We will remind you that on November 12, 2015, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the creation of the DBR. The main tasks of the bureau are the prevention of organized crime, the fight against terrorism and serious crimes, as well as ensuring the safety of citizens, society and the state. The bureau also investigates crimes punishable by life imprisonment, war crimes, and offenses committed by law enforcement officers, including the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
