The ESBU arrested 7 UIA planes for tax evasion

The detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB) arrested seven planes as part of the investigation of a criminal case related to particularly large tax evasion by the decision of the investigating judge. About this reported BEB press office.
We are talking about the planes of the “Ukraine International Airlines” (UAU) airline company, which is associated with Ihor Kolomoiskyi and Aron Mayberg. According to BEB, three Boeing 737-800 aircraft, one Boeing 737-900 and three Embraer 190 aircraft were seized. The total value of these aircraft is estimated at 40 million US dollars.
“Previously, detectives exposed a well-known airline in tax evasion. Its planes belong to a Cypriot company, which, according to operational information, is affiliated with two well-known Ukrainian oligarchs”, – the message says.
The pre-trial investigation continues under part. 3 Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — “Evasion of payment of taxes, fees (mandatory payments)”.
