The European Parliament is preparing to hold an extraordinary plenary session on November 19 to mark an important milestone – a thousand days, during which the Ukrainian people continue their heroic resistance to Russian aggression. About this announced President of the European Parliament Roberta Metzola on his official page in the social network Kh.

The EU is for Ukraine, as long as it is needed. I am proud to announce an extraordinary plenary session of the European Parliament on Tuesday, November 19, to commemorate 1000 days of bravery and courage of the people of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, will join us with a special address from Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!”, Metsola noted in her post.

Ukraine, which is about to reach the symbolic milestone of 1,000 days since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, continues its struggle for freedom, independence and sovereignty. Since February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a large-scale offensive, the Ukrainian people, faced with unprecedented challenges, have demonstrated extraordinary willpower, courage and determination in the defense of their country.

At this time, not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also millions of ordinary citizens stood up to defend their land. The military, volunteers, doctors, volunteers, workers of critical infrastructure and ordinary residents of cities and villages are doing their best to save Ukraine and resist the aggressor. Fierce battles continue on the front lines, while in the rear they restore destroyed infrastructure, support the economy and provide the necessary resources for victory.
