Kharkiv is fully ready for the start of the heating season, but is in no hurry to start it yet due to favorable weather. About this reported Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“The city is ready to start the heating season, but for now we have an opportunity to save gas and your money, because the weather is favorable”, he noted.
According to Terekhov, the heating season in Kharkiv starts when the average daily temperature drops to +8 degrees or lower for three days in a row.
We will remind that on October 14, 2024, Kyiv has already started the heating season for hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other social institutions. Residential buildings will be connected to heat when the average daily temperature also drops to 8 degrees Celsius and lasts for three days.
It is worth noting that the first frosts are expected in some regions of Ukraine in the coming days. Energy experts, however, assure that the cold weather will not lead to the return of electricity blackout schedules.
In addition, on October 9, 11 days ahead of schedule, the Energoatom NPP completed the planned repair of one of the power units. It is reported that all nine power units on the territory controlled by Ukraine are ready for operation in the autumn-winter period.
