The first cargoes arrived at the “Dry Port” in Vinnytsia

The Vinnytsia container terminal, built by the Lemtrans group, received its first cargoes. This innovative logistics center offers an alternative to Odessa ports, where cargo owners will be able to use a full range of services. About this reported Mayor of Vinnytsia Serhiy Morgunov.
As Morgunov noted, the so-called “dry port” will ensure fast delivery, processing and shipment of goods to various destinations. For this, all the necessary infrastructure was created: railway tracks, a container yard, warehouses and a weighing system.
This project will allow Vinnytsia to expand cooperation not only with other regions of Ukraine, but also with European countries. Shipping of containers will become regular in the direction of Odesa and Poland, and in the future – to Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and the Netherlands via railway.
“In addition, it is about creating new jobs, increasing the competitiveness and economic stability of our community”, – emphasized Morgunov.
The new logistics hub in the Vinnytsia region, known as the “dry port”, is a modern railway terminal that will become an important link between the central regions of Ukraine and international trade routes. The project is of strategic importance for the economy of the region and the country in general, as it will ensure fast and efficient transportation of goods to the ports of Greater Odessa, as well as open up new opportunities for trade connections with the countries of the European Union through the container terminal in Mostysk.
The amount of investment in this infrastructure project exceeds $15 million, which became possible thanks to the involvement of private investors. Such a large-scale contribution to the development of regional logistics will contribute to the improvement of transport infrastructure and the expansion of business opportunities in Ukraine.
Construction of the first stage of the “dry port” began in the spring of 2024, and the terminal plans to operate at full capacity already this fall. It is noted that the implementation of the project will help create about 100 new jobs, which will be an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Vinnytsia.
The terminal will play an important role in the development of international trade, as it will ensure regular shipping of containers to Odessa ports, as well as to European countries such as Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and the Netherlands. This transport corridor will contribute to the establishment of effective logistics connections between Ukraine and the EU countries, which in turn will open up new opportunities for the export and import of goods.
