In Ukraine, the first repair and production workshop for armored vehicles, created as part of a joint venture between the Ukrainian defense concern and the German giant Rheinmetall, has started work. This is an important step in strengthening the defense potential of Ukraine and increasing the effectiveness of the Armed Forces.

“The opening of the first joint service center with Rheinmetall in Ukraine is extremely important for strengthening our defense potential. This will enable us to provide quick repair and maintenance of German equipment directly on the territory of Ukraine, which will significantly increase the efficiency of our Armed Forces. We are grateful to our German partners for their trust and support, which enable us to confidently move towards victory and integrate into the European system of collective security“, said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
The new shop will allow not only to quickly restore damaged combat equipment, but also to produce new samples directly in Ukraine. Ukrainian specialists are already working at the production site, and German partners provide technical supervision and technology transfer.
Key advantages of the new workshop:
- Speed: the Armed Forces will be able to receive repaired equipment in the shortest possible time, which is critically important in the conditions of hostilities.
- Independence: Ukraine will become less dependent on the supply of equipment from abroad.
- Development: the workshop will contribute to the development of the domestic defense-industrial complex and the creation of new jobs.
Since the beginning of the year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received more than 110 units of new automobile equipment. Robotic platforms for evacuating the wounded from the battlefield were also successfully tested, which is an important step towards the introduction of modern technologies in the military sphere.
