The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied The Guardian’s statement about the transfer of air defense military to the front due to a shortage of infantry

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the article of the British edition of The Guardian, which referred to the alleged mass transfer of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces (ADF) to the front due to a lack of infantry.
“The statement about the “transfer of air defense personnel to the infantry” is unreliable and incorrect. In order to provide high-quality staffing of military units that are being formed and restored to combat capability, a certain number of servicemen from the units of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were indeed reassigned to positions in accordance with their military accounting specialties. At the same time, this does not apply to air defense specialists who ensure the protection of the Ukrainian sky.” — stated in the General Staff.
The General Staff noted that the Air Force has servicemen of various specializations. Some of them, in particular those who are in security units, mobile rear groups or are not engaged in the maintenance of high-tech weapons, were assigned to combat units. This is done taking into account the difficult situation at the front to support the defense capability of the front line.
The leadership emphasized that these changes do not affect the effectiveness of the air defense, which continues to protect Ukrainian skies, in particular, against kamikaze drones and other aerial threats. The General Staff also rejected the assumption that the number of downed enemy drones has decreased due to personnel changes.
We will remind, in the article of The Guardian, it was claimed that part of the military air defense was sent to the front, which, according to anonymous sources, could have a critical impact on the functioning of the sky defense system. The newspaper expressed fears about a possible leak of information about Ukrainian defense positions in the event that these soldiers are captured.
