The government approved the draft law on the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft law on the creation of the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere. This system will combine data from various state registers and databases containing information on recipients of social assistance.

About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Key points:

  •  Creation of a single database for more targeted and effective social support of citizens.
  • Collection, accumulation, storage and accounting of data of applicants for social assistance.
  • EISSS will be integrated with other state information resources and registers.
  •  The draft law defines the legal basis of the work of the EISSS.

Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk reported in Telegram that the draft law proposes to integrate the social register with other state information resources, including state registers.

As indicated in the project, the Unified Social Register is an information and communication system that ensures the collection, accumulation, preservation, protection and accounting of electronic data of applicants who have the right to receive social support.

It will be recalled that in February 2024 the Verkhovna Rada rejected the draft law “On the Unified Social Register”. At that time, the authors of the draft law noted that the Unified Social Register had already been created within the framework of the experimental project, however, without the adoption of a separate law, the administrators of the Unified Social Register cannot obtain data on persons entered in it from other registers.
