Nardepka Bezugla left the “Servant of the People” faction: the source

People’s deputy Maryana Bezugla announced her resignation from the “Servant of the People” faction. She made this decision of her own free will. About this reported interlocutor of RBC-Ukraine from the “Servant of the People” faction.

The interlocutor also reminded that Maryana Bezugla has not been a member of the “Servant of the People” party for a long time. In 2019, she was elected a People’s Deputy for the 217th majority district (Obolonsky district of Kyiv), so she will not lose her mandate after leaving the faction.
Maryana Bezugla was born in Kyiv in 1988. She received her education at the Bogomolets National Medical University, majoring in “Medical Affairs”, as well as at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy. Before being elected as a People’s Deputy, she worked in the medical direction in the reform project office at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Bezugla is the deputy head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. She is known for her scandalous statements regarding criticism of the military command, in particular, she accused the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny of “lacking a war plan” for a year.
In early January 2024, the defense committee of the Council recommended removing Bezugla from the position of deputy chairman of the committee. A relevant resolution was registered in the parliament, but the decision was not adopted.
At the beginning of the year, Maryana Bezugla also left the “Servant of the People” party.
According to analysts, Bezuglai’s decision to leave the faction may be related to her critical views and disagreement with the party’s policies. It is also worth noting that her public statements and actions often caused significant resonance in society and the mass media. Now, as a non-factional deputy, she can have more freedom in expressing her views and promoting her own initiatives.
