The GUR spoke about the features of the new Russian missile “Banderol”

The new Russian S8000 Banderol cruise missile, the main carrier of which is the Orion drone, is manufactured using a large number of foreign components, including Western ones. About this reported The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The rocket is produced by the sanctioned Russian enterprise Kronstadt, located in the Moscow region, which also manufactures Orion drones. In addition to drones, the missiles are adapted for use on Mi-28N combat helicopters. “Banderol” has a warhead weighing up to 150 kg and is capable of covering a distance of up to 500 km at a speed of 500 km/h, using aviation kerosene as fuel.
“The peculiarity of the missile is its ability to perform turns with a smaller radius than typical Russian-made cruise missiles (X-101, 3M-14, 9M727, X-69), while maintaining the characteristic flight trajectory of a cruise missile.” – noted in GUR.
Among the foreign components used in the production of Banderoli are the Swiwin SW800Pro jet engine of Chinese production, intended for aircraft modeling (its estimated price on AliExpress is $16,000); RFD900x telemetry module from Australia or its Chinese copy; an inertial navigation system, probably of Chinese origin; Murata batteries from Japan; Dynamixel MX-64AR servo drives from the South Korean company Robotis; interference-proof CRP-antenna “Comet-M8” manufactured by the Russian Federation, as well as microchips of American, Chinese, Swiss, Japanese and South Korean manufacture.
GUR emphasized that most of these foreign components are supplied to Russia through Chip and Dip, one of the largest electronics distributors in the Russian Federation.
