The IMF mission for the 7th revision of the EFF program will return to Kyiv at the end of February

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding the 7th revision of the cooperation program with Ukraine within the extended financing mechanism (EFF) is scheduled for the end of February. About this reported permanent representative of the Foundation in Ukraine Prishila Tofano.

During the mission, new conditions and key priorities for the formation of a single project “pipeline” will be discussed within the framework of the budget declaration for 2026-2028, as well as the annual budget for the following year.

In addition, the IMF plans to assess how the Ukrainian authorities are implementing the plan to reform the management of public investments and how far the strengthening of the medium-term budget framework has progressed. Tofano noted that the reform of public investments is considered in connection with other important areas.

“For example, capital budgeting, medium-term budget planning, taking into account that large investment projects will take place over several years. But also the reform of capital markets, since capital markets must be ready to finance complex projects both at the central and local levels.” – explained Tofano.

If Ukraine successfully passes the seventh review of the EFF program, the state budget will receive a financial tranche in the amount of $917.54 million.
