The Ministry of Defense explained the peculiarities of training under the “Contract 18-24” program

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine provided an explanation regarding the training of citizens involved in military service within the framework of the experimental program “Contract 18-24”. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The department noted that the training of servicemen is carried out in accordance with established standards and includes three stages: basic military training (BZVP), professional training in a specified military accounting specialty (VOS) and an adaptation course.

BZVP is mandatory for citizens without previous military experience and is aimed at acquiring basic knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the performance of military service duties. The duration of training is 1.5 months, the program is approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Training is carried out in military units with the appropriate material and technical base or in training centers in the absence of appropriate conditions. Servicemen train in platoons of 25-30 people under the guidance of experienced instructors, officers and sergeants of combat units.

Professional training prepares servicemen to perform tasks in accordance with the chosen military accounting specialty. The programs are developed by the military administration and adapted to the specifics of the weapons of a particular unit. Training is carried out in military units or training centers with the participation of qualified instructors and combat officers.

The adaptation course is aimed at improving interaction skills as part of small tactical groups in conditions of psychological stress of combat operations. The training program takes into account the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war and was approved by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
