The Ministry of Defense launches a new system for providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is implementing a new DOT-Chain system for drone procurement, which is already successfully used in non-lethal procurement. About this informs press service of the department.

“We are launching a new model of providing drones. The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) presented manufacturers with new rules of interaction between the state, the army and business. In particular, we are implementing the DOT-Chain system in the procurement of drones. It is already working successfully in non-lethal procurement.” – said Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov.

According to him, the implementation of this system will speed up the delivery of drones to the front, as units will be able to independently choose the UAVs they need, and the delivery time will be reduced from several months to several weeks. In addition, it will help support manufacturers, because forecasted orders will give them the opportunity to plan for scaling up production.

The Ministry of Defense is also seeking to introduce transparent procurement rules, hoping that clear mechanisms will promote competition and market development.

“DOT-Chain DefenseSystem gives brigades the opportunity to independently determine which drones they need, according to the situation on the battlefield. At the same time, manufacturers will get a clear picture of demand and will be able to plan production more efficiently. In this way, we are creating a system that will work stably and without interruption.”, – emphasized Umyerov.
