The number of fines owed to the Transfer Pricing Commission is twice as high as last year: only a third has been paid

In the first ten months of 2024, 21,336 new debts for fines for violating the rules of military registration were registered in Ukraine, which is twice as many as last year, when 10,542 proceedings were entered in the Register. This is reported by Opendatabot, citing data from the Ministry of Justice.

Only a third of the proceedings were closed this year, which indicates that fines were paid. For comparison, in 2023, 72% of cases related to fines from the Transfer Pricing Commission were closed.

Most debts relate to men – 21,161 proceedings or 99% of the total. However, the number of women facing fines for violating the rules of military registration has also increased. Over the year, this figure increased by 1.4 times: from 121 in 2023 to 175 in 2024.

It should be noted that since 1 October 2023, mandatory military registration has been introduced for women in certain professions aged 18 to 60. To avoid a fine, women had to register by 17 July 2024.

Debtors are subject to restrictions, including a ban on opening new bank accounts, blocking current ones, and the inability to register transactions through notaries. In addition, such sanctions have reputational implications, as the public register allows employers to check information about candidates’ debts during the hiring process.
