Water tariffs will rise in June: who will pay more?
At the beginning of May, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) established new tariffs for water supply and drainage. The price of services will increase already in June. However, the decision concerns non-household consumers. The population will pay for water at the same rates as before.
The highest tariffs for water supply for non-household consumers, it is proposed to install for PrJSC “Energoresursy”. businesses will have to pay UAH 53.39 per 1 cubic meter. The highest tariff for water drainage is set for KP “Oblvodokanal” of the Zaporizhia Regional Council (41.3 UAH per 1 cubic meter).
Also, the tariff for water supply of more than 30 hryvnias per cubic meter for all consumers, except for the population, has been established in Uzhhorod, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Uman, Drohobych and the industrial suburb of Dnipro.
Despite the fact that tariffs for the population have remained stable, the increase in the price of water for industry will also hit the pockets of ordinary Ukrainians. An increase in tariffs will lead to an increase in the cost of production of industrial products, which will affect the final price of consumer goods.
