From July 1, the administration of social payments from the state budget was transferred to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. As of July 9, PFU financed over 7 billion hryvnias for social support of 3.2 million citizens. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.
In particular, more than 4.2 billion hryvnias were allocated to the payment of certain types of state social assistance for more than 1.1 million Ukrainians. Almost 680,000 recipients received 303.8 million hryvnias in housing subsidies, and more than 1.19 million people received 863 million hryvnias in benefits for housing and communal services.
Also, 152,000 people who receive a monthly one-time insurance payment in connection with injuries at work or loss of family members received 1.22 billion hryvnias. Another 3.5 thousand people received 11 million hryvnias for social and medical services as a result of accidents or occupational diseases. 543 million hryvnias were transferred to the recipients of assistance in connection with temporary disability, pregnancy and childbirth. Funds have already begun to flow into the bank accounts of the recipients.
As a reminder, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 695, the Pension Fund calculates the amount of social assistance and forms the need for financing every month by the 8th. After that, he submits relevant information to the Ministry of Social Policy within two days. In turn, the Ministry of Social Policy transfers the documents to the State Treasury Service, which within a few days transfers the funds to the accounts of the Pension Fund for further distribution among the recipients.
Recipients of other state social benefits can also be sure that payments are made on time in accordance with established procedures. The Pension Fund takes all necessary measures to ensure payments. There is no cause for concern: the state budget provides for a sufficient amount of funds, documents are transferred without delays, and all bodies work within the limits of the regulations defined by the Government.
