The Russian army advanced in the Pokrovsky and Torets directions: ISW

Russian troops advanced in the Pokrovsky and Toretsk directions. About this it is said in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

On June 16-17, Russian forces conducted active offensive operations in the Siverskyi direction. In particular, the attacks took place in the northeast of Siversk near Hryhorivka and Serebryanka, in the east near Verkhnokamyanskyi, as well as in the southeast in the Ivano-Darivka area. The sector remains a zone of intense hostilities.

In the period from June 15 to 17, Russian troops carried out a series of attacks on the front around Pokrovsk. Geolocation videos that appeared on June 15 show their advance to the northeast from the village of Shevchenko Pershe. According to the same video materials, the advance of the occupiers to the north, east and southeast of Diliivka, which is located north of Toretsk, is recorded.

Fighting also continued in the immediate vicinity of Toretsk. In particular, the attacks were recorded to the north of the city – near Diliivka, in the northwest – near the settlements of Yablunivka, Rusyny Yar, Popovy Yar, Poltavka, Aleksandro-Kalinov and in the direction of Nelipivka, as well as in the west – in the Shcherbinivka area.

In addition, on June 16-17, Russian troops conducted offensive actions from various directions around Pokrovsk — from the northeast, east, southeast, south, and southwest. Shelling and attacks covered the territories of Myrny, Malynyvka, Shevchenko First, Myrolyubivka, Prominy, Novoekonominykh, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirovoy, Kotlyny, and Udachny.
