On May 17, Russian troops attacked a bus traveling on the Bilopylla-Suma route, near the city of Bilopylla in the north-west of Sumy Oblast. People died as a result of the attack. About this reported regional military administration.
According to preliminary information, the strike was carried out at 06:17 at the exit from Bilopol’, probably with the help of Lancet drones.
“The enemy hit civilian transport. Passengers were injured”, says the message.
Medics and rescuers promptly arrived at the scene of the incident. The victims are provided with the necessary assistance.
Oleg Hrygorov, the head of the OVA, added that as a result of the attack there were dead and wounded:
“Unfortunately, as a result of a cynical attack by the Russians on a bus with civilians, there were casualties. According to preliminary information, 8 people died. My condolences to the relatives of the victims. Five people were injured. They are immediately hospitalized in the hospital. A rescue operation is underway on the spot.”
The National Police clarified that the number of dead has increased to 9.
