The Russian Federation began exercises using nuclear intercontinental missiles

Russia has begun military exercises using missiles with nuclear warheads, in which intercontinental ballistic missiles “Yars” are taking part. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The exercises are conducted in the Strategic Missile Forces. Missile regiments in Sverdlovsk Region and Altai Krai will be deployed at field positions. This is not the first such exercise: in February, it was reported about training on the covert launch of Yars missiles in the Volga region.
“Russia deployed autonomous launchers of the mobile surface-to-air missile complex (PGRK) “Yars” on combat patrol routes, – reported the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the agency, the calculations of the missile complex perform the tasks of marching up to 100 kilometers long, changing field positions, engineering equipment, masking, and organizing combat guards. In addition, the Russian military is rehearsing actions to counter “conditional sabotage and intelligence groups”.
“Yars” (RS-24) is a Russian strategic missile complex with a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile. It entered service in 2010, has a range of up to 12,000 km and is equipped with a separate warhead with several nuclear warheads.
