The Russian Federation has intensified attacks on Kostiantynivka, using FPV drones on fiber optics

Kostyantynivka remains under the sights of Russian forces, which have recently significantly increased activity in this direction. The main emphasis of the Russian Federation is on the use of FPV drones, in particular modified versions with signal transmission via fiber optic cable. Due to the high accuracy and efficiency of these systems, the Russian army has significantly expanded their use, especially for hitting moving targets in the city itself and on supply routes to the frontline. About this informs DeepState.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces recognize the technological lag in this area, but expect to catch up in the near future with the pace of production and delivery of similar systems, as has already been done with traditional FPV drones.

At the same time, the massive use of air bombs with corrected guidance (SAMs) by the Russians continues, and strikes are carried out not only on Kostyantynivka, but also on other rear settlements. In recent days, the activity of such attacks has increased. However, despite the intensity of shelling, the Russian army currently has no opportunity to physically enter Kostiantynivka — such reports are just misinformation.

In addition to airstrikes, the city suffers from barrel artillery fire and rocket salvo systems, resulting in large-scale destruction. DeepState emphasizes: the fate of Kostyantynivka may repeat itself for the entire agglomeration, if Ukrainian forces do not maintain the defense around Chasovoy Yar and the Stupochki district. This is the last line before the city itself.

The advance of the enemy in the western direction is also threatening. Russian troops have entrenched themselves in the Sukhoi Balka area and are actively approaching Novoolenivka. If they manage to reach the Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka road in this area, it will open another flank for further offensive. Such a scenario will endanger not only Kostyantynivka, but also Toretsk, where the enemy has already suffered colossal losses, but continues to throw new forces into battle.
