Russia had been preparing for the systematic extermination of Ukrainians long before the invasion, developing a genocidal strategy that included firing lists, mobile crematoria, and plans for mass burials. About this reported Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
“Russian propaganda, higher state authorities, high-ranking officials and the entire state machine, having received such a blessing from their leader, repeatedly called for the destruction of Ukrainians”, he said.
Kyrylo Budanov noted that the Russian military-political leadership was purposefully preparing for large-scale violence against the Ukrainian nation. And the genocide of Ukrainians was planned as a state policy, and these maniacal instructions were carried out by the occupiers in the occupied territories.
“Teachers of the Ukrainian language, literature, history, ATO veterans, journalists, scientists, writers, priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and other denominations who supported Ukraine, public and political figures, heads of state and self-government bodies were to be included in the firing lists.”, – said the head of the GUR.
According to the head of military intelligence, Ukrainophobia has become an integral part of Russian society. And the genocide of Ukrainians is not only the official state policy of Russia, but also a coercive ideology imposed from the highest levels of Kremlin power.
Kyrylo Budanov noted that on the eve of the full-scale invasion, the Russian military received instructions to organize mass burials, and the maniacal orders of the Russian leadership were implemented in the occupied territories of Ukraine, where terrible crimes were committed. He emphasized that the atrocities in Borodyanka, Buchi, Gostomel, Izyum, Mariupol and other settlements are an organic part of Russia’s well-planned strategy for the genocide of the Ukrainian nation.
