The SafeRoad application has been launched in Ukraine, which helps drivers avoid emergency sections of the road

The SafeRoad mobile application has launched in Ukraine, which helps drivers avoid dangerous road sections and potholes. The program works in real time, analyzes the road situation and informs about potential risks. About this informs ITC portal.
“Saferoad ─ is a Ukrainian development that uses data from traffic sensors, GPS, speed analysis, traffic analysis algorithms and artificial intelligence to automatically detect potholes and bumps on the roads.” – says the message.
SafeRoad collects data from users and from additional sources, notifying about potholes, damaged pavement, accident-prone spots and areas with difficult traffic. Drivers can also independently mark problem areas on the map to warn other road users.
For six months, the team tested the application and improved the algorithms, mapping more than 1,000 km of roads in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. Danger zones, recommended speed and damaged road surfaces were noted.
The developers are financing the project with their own money and plan to expand the coverage, including secondary roads, which are often left without proper monitoring. In the future, it is also planned to enter the international market and integrate SafeRoad with navigation systems. The application is already available for Android users in Google Play, as well as in web version.
