Ukrainian buggy ‘Varan’ is officially approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially admitted the Ukrainian buggy “Varan” to service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This buggy is designed to transport personnel, evacuate the wounded and transport ammunition.
As informs Ministry of Defense, “Varan” was designed and manufactured at one of the Ukrainian enterprises. The basis of the design is a strong power frame designed for extremely difficult operating conditions.
The buggy is equipped with a powerful turbodiesel engine and an automatic 5-speed gearbox. Most of the mechanisms and aggregates were made from components of well-known global car manufacturers.
The engineer who designed “Varan” has many years of experience in repairing and operating cars. The machine is capable of transporting 500 kg of cargo or towing a trailer weighing up to 300 kg. With a full tank, the buggy can travel up to 200 km over rough terrain, and on sandy roads it can reach a speed of over 100 km/h.
This buggy will be an important addition to the units of the Armed Forces, providing the ability to move quickly, deliver goods and evacuate the wounded even in difficult conditions.
It will be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for delivery the domestic unmanned aerial vehicle “Chaklun”.
