The SBI informed about the suspicion of an official of the Academy of Ground Forces, who beat and humiliated cadets
The State Bureau of Investigation together with the SBU reported about the suspicion of a teacher of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sahaidachny in bullying cadets. During the year, the officer used physical and psychological violence, including beating, humiliating and even forcing the cadet to eat cigarettes.
The investigation established at least four cases of the use of force against cadets. The teacher beat them with his hands, the butt of a weapon and a belt, motivating his actions by the need to maintain discipline.
The officer’s displeasure could be caused by carelessly folded items or errors in the log. He forced one of the cadets to eat cigarettes in front of the others, because he was late for line-up due to smoking. So the “educator” decided to teach him by making him chew a few cigarettes.
Despite being transferred to another position, the officer was charged with an offense punishable by up to 12 years in prison. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail.
The SBI continues its investigation to establish all the facts of the teacher’s illegal activity.
