The SBI opened proceedings on the fact of the tragedy at the training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The State Bureau of Investigation has started a criminal investigation into the tragedy in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where dozens of Ukrainian soldiers were killed and wounded as a result of a Russian missile attack on a training ground. About this informs press service of the department.

Recently, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Novomoskovskiy training ground, where military personnel of the 157th separate mechanized brigade were training. As a result of the attack, at least 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. Based on this fact, an inspection will be conducted, and the guilty persons will be brought to justice.

The Bureau expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the dead and wounded servicemen, sharing their pain at this difficult time. The department emphasizes the need for a thorough and impartial investigation in order to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Currently, investigative actions are being conducted to find out all the details of the event. A special joint group of law enforcement officers was sent to the scene of the attack. Criminal proceedings have been opened under part 4 Art. 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – negligent attitude to military service in the conditions of martial law or combat situation. Procedural management is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
