Zelensky came to Donetsk region and announced a serious conversation with some government officials (video)

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, visited Donetsk region on June 26, where he announced his intention to hold a “separate conversation” in Kyiv with government officials responsible for affairs at the front. Zelenskyi, being on the spot together with Chief Sirskyi and the new commander of the Joint Forces, General Andriy Hnatov, expressed support for the military and visited the soldiers of the 110th and 47th brigades, highlighting their heroic achievements.

This is what the head of state said said in his video message from Donetsk region.

“And there will be a separate conversation in Kyiv, in particular with government officials, who should be both here and in other places near the front – in complex communities where people need immediate solutions. Solutions that are simply not visible from Kyiv. And I was surprised that some relevant government officials were not here for half a year or more. There will be a serious conversation, and I will draw appropriate conclusions about them” – the President noted.

“Today I officially introduced Andrii Hnatov to all those responsible for the defense in Donetsk region. He is a young man, but his knowledge of the front and experience are just what they need. The task for General Hnatov is obvious – to destroy the occupier and – very importantly – to protect as many lives of our soldiers as possible “, – added Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

A meeting on security and support for local residents held in Donetsk region discussed important issues, including providing residents with basic necessities, evacuation, defense assistance and housing reconstruction. Zelenskyi also noted the need for the presence of government officials in places close to the front and expressed surprise that some of them had not visited these regions for a long time.

“Many questions. And in terms of providing life, it is water, social issues, evacuation, and in terms of defense assistance, in terms of housing restoration. I am grateful to everyone who really does everything for our one hundred percent” Donetsk region persevered.

The president emphasized that he plans to take appropriate steps with regard to these government officials after the meeting in Kyiv, where it is planned to discuss immediate solutions for difficult communities near the front.
