The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially approved for use in the Defense Forces the unmanned ground robotic complex “Targan”, created by Ukrainian engineers. About this reported press service of the department.
“Targan” is compact and mobile, which allows it to be easily transported using a minibus or car trailer. At the same time, this ground robot is capable of transporting up to 200 kg of cargo, which makes it versatile for various military tasks. It can be used to deliver ammunition, food, and equipment to forward positions.
One of the key advantages of the “Targan” is a silent electric motor, which, together with large rubber wheels, ensures silent and inconspicuous movement on the battlefield. This allows the robot to move large distances without attracting attention, which is important for successful tactical operations.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense also allowed the use of other new models of equipment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular the “Varan” buggy, designed for the transportation of personnel, the evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of ammunition. In addition, the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle “Chaklun”, which was also recognized as suitable for performing tasks at the front, was accepted for delivery.
