The SBU exposed the Russian intelligence network, which included current and former law enforcement officers
During a special operation in Mykolaiv, two members of an enemy network coordinated by two Russian special services were detained.

The Security Service of Ukraine neutralized the Russian agent network that operated in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The perpetrators engaged in espionage, gathering information about the Defense Forces and key critical infrastructure facilities. About this informs SBU press office.
During a special operation in Mykolaiv, two members of this hostile network were detained, the activities of which were coordinated by two Russian special services: the FSB and the military intelligence of the Russian Federation. One of the detainees is a local law enforcement officer who, since 2015, was in contact with the head of the Russian intelligence group, former policeman Andrii Shevchenko. On the order of the latter, this agent collected information about the locations of bases and movements of the units of the Armed Forces in the region, and also tried to establish the locations of strategic enterprises of the defense-industrial complex. In addition, he gave the occupiers information about personnel decisions in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
To obtain intelligence, the traitor used his official position, and also sought out the necessary information from colleagues, passing it off as ordinary friendly conversations.
The agent’s father, who previously worked in the disbanded militia and lives in Mykolaiv, was also involved in intelligence and subversive activities. According to his information, the occupiers repeatedly shelled one of the energy facilities in Prykarpattia.
To adjust the enemy’s fire, the former policeman “in the dark” used his acquaintance who lives in the western region of Ukraine.
Another task of the agent was to search for potential candidates for recruitment, in particular among former and active law enforcement officers and military personnel in the Mykolaiv region.
SBU counter-intelligence documented the agent’s criminal actions and detained him while trying to flee to Crimea. At the same time, a traitorous law enforcement officer was arrested.
During the searches, mobile phones, computer equipment, drafts, documents with evidence of crimes, as well as Russian symbols and rubles were seized from the detainees.
The detained agents were notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). They are currently in custody, facing life imprisonment with confiscation of property. In addition, according to the same article, Andriy Shevchenko, the head of the intelligence agency group, received suspicion in absentia. Measures to bring him and other members of the agent network to account for crimes against the state are ongoing.
