On the morning of April 16, Russian troops shelled Kherson, using aircraft and artillery. One person died, there are injured. About this reported head of the Kherson MBA Roman Mrochko.
According to him, in the morning the enemy attacked the Central district of Kherson with four guided aerial bombs. Subsequently, the Russian troops opened artillery fire on the Tavri district, where the official himself came under fire.
“A 61-year-old man, who received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound in his leg as a result of the morning shelling of the Central district, was taken to the hospital. He was in the apartment during the Russian attack. Doctors are providing the necessary assistance to the victim.”, — noted Morochko.
In addition, two more people were injured in the Tavri district.
“The army of the Russian Federation does not yet allow to fully begin the liquidation of the consequences of this shelling,” the head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
Later, he added that a person died as a result of the Russian attack:
“An unknown middle-aged man received life-threatening injuries. Specialists are currently identifying him. He was on the street at the time of the enemy attack. Condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased.”
Under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Kherson region, a pre-trial investigation was opened on the grounds of a war crime in accordance with part 1 Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
