The State Border Service warns of a new problem on the border with Poland

From August 12, 2024, repair work will begin at the international checkpoint “Grebenne – Rava-Ruska” on the Ukrainian-Polish border, which may significantly complicate the crossing of the border for travelers. These works, initiated by the Polish side, are aimed at replacing the asphalt surface on the roads passing through this checkpoint.

According to the official information According to the Western Regional Office of the State Border Service of Ukraine, these repair measures can lead to significant delays, in particular for cargo transport that follows in both directions. Trucks leaving from Ukraine to Poland and entering from Poland to Ukraine may face much longer queues. There may also be delays for cars crossing the border in the direction of Ukraine.

Such difficulties can cause not only an increase in waiting time, but also additional inconvenience for drivers and passengers who plan to travel through this checkpoint. Drivers and passengers may have to wait longer than usual at the border, which may affect their travel plans and schedules.

According to the estimates of the State Border Service, the works will last approximately until September 12, 2024. In this regard, Ukrainian border guards recommend citizens to take into account possible delays in advance when planning their trips to Poland and back. Citizens are also advised to consider alternative routes through other checkpoints, which may be less busy during the period of repair works.

This information is important for anyone planning to travel through this crossing point in the coming weeks, and border officials emphasize the need to closely monitor the status of the work and the current situation at the border to avoid unforeseen delays and inconveniences.
